Floral Texture Art Workshop (MY)

Explore blooms, botanical form, and tactile sensation in Arkateori's in-person Floral Texture Art Workshop. Guided by a professional art instructor, you will learn to build florals in relief using tactile techniques including layering, impasto petal work, scraping, additive sculpting, and subtractive carving. This hands-on floral art class explores how surface, material, and movement turn a simple bloom into something you feel as much as see.

Arkateori's signature play-centered approach encourages curiosity, loosened control, and unexpected mark-making. You will work with botanical forms as a starting point — petals that fold where they want to, stems that lean, edges left unfinished — and experiment with floral texture as a way to express memory, emotion, and personal meaning.

This intimate workshop also includes Somatic Art coaching, with gentle body-awareness exercises and guided prompts. Flowers carry their own quiet language of opening and letting go, and we use it to help you reconnect with your inner child and translate felt emotion into textured surfaces. The experience is both a creative art workshop and a personal ritual.

Suitable for beginners and experienced makers, this workshop includes all materials, individual guidance, and a calm studio environment. Leave with a finished textured floral artwork, sharpened sensory awareness, and renewed confidence in allowing play, feeling, and intuition to guide your art.
